The Zanabazar museum of fine arts

The museum is named after the first BogdGegeenZanabazar, Mongolian religious leader whose contribution to development of Mongolian fine arts is considered invaluable.

Although not very big in size, the museum exhibits around 20,000 objects in its permanent collection that shows Mongolian art from pre-history through the early twentieth century. If one takes interest in Mongolian art history, various paintings, sculptures, and even “tsam dance” masks and more can be found upon a visit to this museum.
